    Seniors celebrate second anniversary dance

Along with 28 years of marriage and dancing, Fran and Phil Ziff are also celebrating the second anniversary of the creation of Sunnyvale's Senior Center dance program. After meeting on a blind date arranged by Fran's daughter 28 years ago, the Ziffs began taking dance lessons together, and decided they wanted to share their passion for dance with others. They set out to create a big-band style dance night, which now takes place the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Sunnyvale Senior Center, and is popular with adults age 50 or older, who come to dance or just listen to the band play.

The second anniversary dance is tonight from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the senior center, room 601. The sounds of big-band music at the anniversary dance will be provided by the Sound Wizards, who play at the dances on the second Wednesdays, with the Serenaders performing at the dances on the fourth Wednesdays. Refreshments will be served, and no partner is necessary. Cost is $4 per person. For more information about the dances, call 408.730.7360.
