The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

Possession of Cocaine--Sept. 8, 1 p.m., 700 block of North Mathilda Avenue. Police were talking to two suspects about a burglary that had occurred the day before at Lucky's and saw narcotics in plain view. The substance tested positive for cocaine.

Forged Check--Sept. 4, 5 p.m., 1200 block of Tasman Drive. The suspect gave his friend a check and asked him to cash it, saying he didn't have an account. When the check bounced, the suspect promised to pay but never did. The friend asked to cash the check was the ex-husband of the suspect's friend, and the suspect is reported to be a heavy cocaine user.

Petty Theft--Sept. 4, 2:30 p.m., 150 Lawrence at Lucky's. The suspect entered the store, selected some items and placed them in her basket. At the same time, she concealed some other items and then attempted to pay only for the items she had in her shopping basket.

Auto Burglary--Between Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 4 at 10 a.m., 1200 block of Vienna Drive. The victim parked and locked her car in front of a mobile home complex. When she returned to her vehicle in the morning, the passenger side window had been smashed and the suspect(s) stole her CDs and golf clubs. Estimated value of stolen merchandise is $1460.
