The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Armed robbery--Sept. 14, 600 block of Wolfe Road at 1:30 a.m. A man entered a liquor store, walked directly to the front counter and took a large-caliber gun from his waistband. The man forced the clerk to open the cash register and hand him all the paper currency. The man placed the handgun back under his waistband and ran out of the store. The amount of cash taken has not been determined.
Burglary--Sept. 10, 160 block of Gibraltar Court at 1:20 a.m. Someone pried open the passenger-side window of a car. The owner said the car was locked when he left it. A CD player and telephone were taken from the car.
Auto burglary--Sept. 10, 900 block of Rockefeller Avenue at 5:50 a.m. Someone smashed in the driver's-side window using a piece of a spark plug. A specialized mountain bike valued at more than $500 was removed from the car.
Auto burglary--Sept. 10, 500 block of Washington Avenue at 6:30 a.m. The owner of the car parked it outside his house, and when he returned in the morning he noticed that the passenger-side window had been broken. A cellular phone and CD player were taken from the car.
Auto Burglary--Sept. 9, 400 block of Acalanes Drive at 12:30 a.m. A man parked his car outside his apartment complex. When he returned in the morning he noticed the car had been broken into. The stereo equipment had been taken and the outside of the car scratched with a sharp object.
Forgery--Sept. 8, 800 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard at 1:10 p.m. A man was arrested for forging checks, possession of forged checks, false identification and burglary. He was booked into jail and bail was set at $16,561.
