    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Under the Influence of Controlled Substance--Sept. 25, 7 p.m., 1200 block of Lime Drive. Officer was dispatched to a family disturbance involving a grandmother and grandson. The grandson was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled stimulant.

    Grand Theft--Sept. 26, 4:45 p.m., 200 block of Santa Ana Court. Unknown suspect took approximately $4,400 worth of gardening equipment from the bed of victim's truck.

    False Bomb Scare--Sept. 26, 2 p.m., 500 block of South Mathilda Road. Suspect called a business and said they were going to blow up the building. No unusual packages were found at the site.

    Petty Theft--Sept. 27, 7:30 p.m., 1000 block of East Arques Avenue. Suspect took about $30 worth of merchandise from a retail store. Suspect was caught on surveillance video and detained by loss prevention personnel.

    Vandalism--Sept. 29, 9:20 p.m., 1000 block of East El Camino Real. Suspect rammed truck three times into victim's parked vehicle causing approximately $400 in damage.

    Burglary (Auto)--Oct. 1, 8:15 a.m., 800 block of Iris Avenue. Car stereo and CD player were stolen from a vehicle parked at residence.
