    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Battery--Sept. 30, 10:58 a.m., 100 block S. Murphy Avenue. Victim left work and walked to the parking lot behind the building. Suspect confronted victim in the parking lot. Suspect hit victim in the face twice, causing bleeding to the lower lip.

    Possession of Controlled Substance--Sept. 29, 11:30 a.m., 100 block S. Sunnyvale Avenue. Officer was on a routine patrol when he saw two suspects get into a parked vehicle. Officer contacted the male suspect. Suspect gave him permission to do a pat search and a vehicle search. During the vehicle search, officer found three glass pipes used to smoke methamphetamine. Two grams of methamphetamine were found in a day planner.

    Auto Burglary--Sept. 29, 8:03 a.m., 100 block E. Remington Drive. Unknown suspect forced entry into victim's vehicle and removed a $100 stereo without permission.

    Petty Theft--Sept. 27, 6:45 p.m., 200 block W. Washington Avenue. Suspect entered Macy's and went through the store taking several items. She then walked by several cash registers without paying and exited through the west side door. Merchandise in the amount of $157 was recovered.

    Grand Theft--Sept. 26, 2:34 p.m., 1100 block Morse Avenue. A forklift was stolen from the rear lot of Repeater Technologies. The 10-year-old forklift's value is now estimated at $5,000.

    Battery--Sept. 25, 8:32 p.m., 600 block Lakewood Drive. Suspect went to victim's house and told him to stay away from his sister. Suspect struck victim on his chin with a closed fist. Victim complained of a sore chin and a small cut inside his lip.

    Residential Burglary--Sept. 25, 8:00 p.m., 400 block Costa Mesa Terrace. Unknown suspect entered victim's garage and took a custom road bike worth $3,464.
