Bob Berry Field
Willow Glen will re-dedicate its football complex in the name of the late, great Rams head varsity football coach, Bob Berry.
The dedication is scheduled for Oct. 24, between the frosh-soph and varsity football games. Willow Glen is hoping that many of Berry's former players will return for the ceremonies, which should begin at about 1 p.m.
Alumni football
For most high school players, there's no football after high school.
Oh, there's the occassional pick-up game in the park, or maybe a flag football league. But full-contact tackle football for most players ends with the final game of that senior season.
There are some players, though, who aren't quite ready to see those days of tackle football end. And they plan to do something about it.
The group is looking for former Los Gatos, Saratoga, Cupertino, Leigh, Monta Vista and Homestead high school football players to play in full-contact alumni games at San Jose PAL Stadium.

Speed clinic
Olympic gold medalist Andre Phillips and track coach Stan Dowell, who has coached two Olympic champions, will be featured guests at a speed and quickness clinic to be held Oct. 17, 9-11 a.m., at the Los Gatos High School track.
For information, call John Shepardson at 252-7844.
