    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Possession of Amphetamine--Oct. 11, 12:56 a.m., 500 N. Eden Ave. Officer arrested suspect for three outstanding warrants. After taking him into custody, a bindle of amphetamine was found in his wallet. He was booked and transferred to County Jail.

    Auto Burglary--Oct. 8-9, 1200 block N. Fair Oaks Ave. Four auto burglaries occurred at the same address. Losses totaled $2,100.

    Battery--Oct. 7, 7 p.m., 300 block Angel Ave. Victim's son shoved him, causing him to hit his head on the living room wall. The son fled the residence in an unknown direction.

    Embezzlement--Oct. 7, 5:30 p.m., 100 block East El Camino Real. An employee at local store "passed" $174 worth of store merchandise to an "associate" without charging the store's price.

    Possession of Alcohol--Oct. 6, 8:45 p.m., 1200 block Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road. Two officers located three minors consuming vodka on the Fremont High School campus.

    Speed Contest--Oct. 5, 6:55 p.m., 700 block West Remington Drive. Two drivers were arrested after racing eastbound in both lanes at speeds between 65-70 mph in a residential area.

    Sales of Tobacco to Minor--Oct. 5, 4:40 p.m. and 5:55 p.m., 1100 block Tasman Drive and 200 block West Maude Avenue. Suspects at two local stores sold/furnished tobacco products to a police decoy who was less than the legal age of 18. Suspects were cited for the misdemeanor violation and released at the scene.
