    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Strong Arm Robbery--Oct. 14, 10:30 p.m., 200 block West Iowa Ave. Suspect exited a store without paying for merchandise, using bodily force against store security in an attempt to escape with stolen property. He was taken into custody by store security. During a custody search of the suspect, officers found a concealed weapon capable of ready use as a stabbing weapon along with methamphetamine.

    Forced Robbery--Oct. 14, 9:00 a.m., 1000 block Tasman Drive. Two suspects entered dwelling. One suspect held victim down while the other suspect tied his hands together, blindfolded, and gagged him. The suspects ransacked the home and took personal property. One suspect--who was determined to be under the influence of an illegal substance--was detained and positively identified. The second suspect is still at large.

    Under the Influence--Oct. 13, 11:15 a.m., 100 block South Sunnyvale Ave. An anonymous party called to report drug activity in hotel room. After knocking on the door, officer was invited into room by male occupant who also had female in room with him. Both subjects were displaying symptoms of stimulant use. They both admitted to smoking crank the previous night.

    Gang Related Assault with a Deadly Weapon--Oct. 12, 7:19 p.m., 800 block Alturas Ave. Three victims were parked in a vehicle when five suspects approached, making gang signs with their hands. The suspects then asked the victims to exit their vehicle and fight. Victims said they were afraid for their safety and attempted to flee in their car. Suspects then broke the window and one of the suspects used a baseball bat to threaten victims.
