    Halloween Festival

    The Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring this year's annual Halloween Harvest Festival Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sunnyvale Town Center, now known as the WAVE, or Walk and Village Entertainment, at 2502 Town Center Lane. The event features an entertainment stage, eight craft stations at which children ages 3 to 12, can make Halloween crafts to take home, and a costume parade. Entertainment includes a magician and a clown from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The costume parade will be led by a vampire through the mall, ending up on the entertainment stage with prizes for all participants. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. there will be mall-wide trick-or-treating. All activities are free for children ages three to 12. For more information, call 408.730.7350.

    Studio Theatre of California

    The Studio Theatre of California will perform Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians at 8 p.m. on Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28, at the Congregational Community Church in Sunnyvale, 1112 Bernardo Ave. Tickets are available for $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.     Community Theatre

    The Sunnyvale Community Players will perform The Secret Garden from Oct. 27 through Nov. 19, at the Sunnyvale Community Theatre, 550 E. Remington Dr., Sunnyvale. Thursday performances will be at 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturdays, at 8 p.m.; Sundays, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets range from $13 to $15 each. The performance will include a 19-piece orchestra and a large multimedia screen. For tickets or more information, call the box office at 408.733.6611.

    Senior Center Advisory

    The Senior Center is now accepting applications for the 2001 Sunnyvale Multi-Purpose Senior Center Advisory Committee. Committee members must be current participants in the programs and services at the Senior Center. Committee members will provide direct communication to city staff regarding the changing needs of older adults in the community as they relate to the Senior Center. Meetings will be held the third Monday of January, March, May, July, September and November from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. Applications are available at the center office. The deadline for submitting applications is Oct. 27. For more information, call 408.730.7360.
