    Sunnyvale team wins charity relay

    The Sunnyvale team won the 199-mile Providian Relay running race on Oct. 15. The annual race is run to raise awareness of organ donation. The Sunnyvale team, named Sportbrain and captained by Douglas Consiglio, finished in just under 18 hours. on Sunday. Their closest competitor out of 232 teams came in over three hours later.

    Flu Vaccinations

    The American Lung Association (ALA) of Santa Clara-San Benito Counties is providing flu vaccinations for $12.00 again this year. According to the ALA, the best time to get a flu shot is from October to mid-November. For more information or to locate the nearest flu shot location, call the ALA at 408.998.5864.

    Digital Healing

    The Third Annual Premiere Evening of 'Digital Healing' will be held on Thursday, October 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event will be at the Digital Clubhouse Network located at the Sunnyvale Town Center Mall, 1252 Town Center Lane. Survivors of cancer, stroke and domestic abuse share their experiences through 'digital stories.' Special guests will include Director of Stanford Online Cancer Research Project Dr. Andrew Winzelberg, Executive Director of Peninsula Stroke Association Ann Jacobs, Ph.D and Project Coordinator of Safe Network IT Enhancement Project Amy Hill.
