    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Residential Burglary--Oct. 14, 6:40 p.m., 900 block Belmont Terrace. Unknown suspect(s) entered victim's residence, removed two mountain bikes valued at a total of $500 and left.

    Auto Burglary--Oct. 14, 10:15 a.m., 600 block S. Fair Oaks Avenue. Unknown suspect gained entry into victim's vehicle and took a lap top computer, two palm pilots and six CDs totaling $3,055. Suspect left a blue backpack in the car.

    False Representation of ID/Drunk in Public--Oct. 13, 9:45 p.m., 100 block Avala Drive. Suspect was detained by peace officer and asked for his name and ID. Suspect falsely identified himself to the officer and lied about having and ID. In addition, suspect had been drinking alcoholic beverages and was intoxicated to the point that he was unable to care for himself.

    Possession of a Controlled Substance--Oct. 13, 2:00 p.m., 500 block E. Ahwanee Avenue. State parole agents went to a home to arrest suspect for parole violation. After taking suspect into custody, the parole agent found a small baggie of amphetamine and drug paraphernalia in suspect's pants pocket. The parole agent booked suspect into County Jail.
