    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Possession of Controlled Substance--Oct. 18, 4:30 p.m. 100 block East Persian. Officer observed a vehicle in the parking lot of an area well-known for drug usage. Officer saw two subjects sitting in the vehicle with their heads lowered. Upon contact with both subjects, officer observed them to have the physical appearance of being hyper. They were also sweating. During a consent search of the vehicle, officer located six grams of amphetamine in a bag owned by one of the suspects.

    Employee Embezzlement--Oct. 15, 9:51 p.m. 300 block S. Sunnyvale. Officer responded to a call for an employee in custody for embezzlement. She was found to be concealing on her person six hundred dollars. The suspect made no attempt to return the funds. Loss prevention contacted and detained the suspect. Officer arrived on scene, took custody of suspect, and transported her to county jail.

    Assault with Deadly Weapon--Oct. 12, 7:19 p.m. 800 block Alturas. Three victims were parked in vehicle. Five suspects approached victims showing Norteno gang signs with their hands. Suspects then requested victims to exit vehicle. Victims were afraid for their safety and attempted to flee in vehicle. Suspects then broke out vehicle window. One suspect used baseball bat to threaten suspects.
