The Sun Sunnyvale's Newspaper Sports Briefs Baseball camps A series of Stanford holiday baseball camps will be offered in November and December. Hitting and defensive instruction will be offered over Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 27-29, and there will be pitching, hitting and defensive camps over Christmas vacation on Dec. 20-22 and Dec. 27-29. Christmas Classic The Christmas Classic, a basketball tournament for boys and girls in grades 7-8, will be held Dec. 18-20 in San Jose. The entry fee is $100 and the registration deadline is Dec. 1. Alumni football For most high school players, there's no football after high school. There are some players, though, who aren't quite ready to see those days of tackle football end. And they plan to do something about it. The group is looking for former Los Gatos, Saratoga, Cupertino, Leigh, Monta Vista and Homestead high school football players to play in full-contact alumni games at San Jose PAL Stadium.
