Olson Cherries holds Food and Craft Faire

The fourth annual C.J. Olson Cherries Food and Craft Faire will be held Nov. 9 and Dec. 7 on El Camino Real at Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale. Highlights will include cooking demonstrations by local chefs, fresh Bing cherries from Chile, dried fruits, gift packs and holiday crafts and baked goods. Samples of all of C.J. Olson's new products will be offered for free at the fair, which will last from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Contact Deborah Olson at 736-3726 for more information.

The city of Sunnyvale activated its new home page on the World Wide Web Oct. 15. People with Internet access can now find the city page at http://www.ci.sunnyvale.ca.us.

The site includes information about city services, news and reports and council meetings, as well as links to community organizations.

Council appoints Moffett committee

The Sunnyvale City Council appointed nine members to a community advisory committee to study the future uses of Moffett Federal Airfield.

The committee members are: Pat Castillo, Tim Risch, Bob Climo, Walter Bays , Councilmember Jack Walker, Dianne McKenna, Fred Fowler, Pete Contostavlos and Pamela Kittler, with Cesar Perez, Felix Balga, Werner Gans and Arthur Schwartz as alternates.
