    Sunnyvale public library holds a tour for English as second language students

    A 90-minute program will teach visitors with English as a second language about what the library has to offer, during a tour with "Easy English."

    The program is free and takes place on Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. in the Sunnyvale library program room, 665 West olive Ave. For more information, call 408.730.7300.

    Library presents city's past through storytelling

    Discover Sunnyvale history through storytelling of those who lived it and recorded their stories. The purpose is to record and preserve the history of Sunnyvale through the eyes of its residents.

    The event will take place on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Sunnyvale library program room at 665 W. Olive Ave. For more information, call 408.730.7300.

    The Discovery Shop holds anniversary sale Nov. 8-10

    Celebrate the third year of the Discovery shop and help find the cure for cancer, because proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society's programs of research, education and patient services.

    The sale is Nov. 8-10 in Loehmann's Plaza at 1659 Hollenbeck Road, Sunnyvale. For more information, call 408.737.7707.
