'Orchard Family Honor Role'
Dec. 31, 2000, is the deadline for families to be listed on the "Orchard Family Honor Role," part of a regional tribute to orchard farming families during Santa Clara Valley's agricultural era in the 1900s. The names of these families will be part of a permanent "Honor Role" at Orchard Heritage Park in Sunnyvale, celebrating the "Valley of Heart's Delight."
Any family that was involved in some aspect of the orchard business in Santa Clara County for more than 25 years is eligible. Call Ann Hines at 408.738.0846 to receive a survey form (or fax her at 408.245.9098). Survey forms must be received by Dec. 31, for inclusion on the permanent "Honor Role" at the Orchard Heritage Park Interpretive Exhibit (OHPIE) scheduled to open in spring 2001.
