YMCA sports

The Northwest YMCA will host indoor soccer for kids this fall.

The fall indoor soccer league season is open to boys and girls ages 3-7. The season runs Nov. 7-Dec. 19, and the registration deadline is Oct. 30. Games are played on Saturdays from 9-11 a.m.

YMCA leagues stress basic skills, and no scores or standings are kept. A $25 YMCA membership is required for participation in the programs. For more information, call Matt Klock at 257-7160, ext. 19.

The YMCA is also looking for paid officials for the upcoming winter basketball league season. No experience is necessary, and training is available through the YMCA. Games are played Saturdays,
9 a.m.-4 p.m., from Jan. 9 through March 14. Officials must commit to the entire season, and officials are paid $6-7 per hour, based on experience. Call 257-7160, ext. 19, for information.

Baseball camps

A series of Stanford holiday baseball camps will be offered in November and December.

Hitting and defensive instruction will be offered over Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 27-29, and there will be pitching, hitting and defensive camps over Christmas vacation on Dec. 20-22 and Dec. 27-29.

The camps are open to players ages 13-18, and the cost is $100 per sessions.

For more information, call Stanford assistant baseball coach Mark O'Brien at 1-650-723-4528.
