    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Burglary (Auto)--Oct. 9, 2:10 p.m., 500 block of N. Britton. Unknown suspect broke rear passenger window of victim's vehicle and took a purse.

    Burglary (Commercial)--Oct. 9, 10:55 p.m., 1200 block of Reamwood. There was an attempted robbery of a computer monitor at a commercial site. Suspect pulled the monitor out of a window, but left it outside.

    Burglary (Auto)--Oct. 10, 5 p.m., 500 block of E. Remington Avenue. Unknown suspect removed and took a carburetor from victim's vehicle, which was parked at a public parking lot.

    Petty Theft--Oct. 10, 3:45 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. Suspect took approximately $50 worth of merchandise from an electronics store, but was detained outside by loss prevention personnel. Suspect was cited and released.

    Grand Theft (Commercial)--Oct. 12, 2:15 p.m., 100 block of W. Java Road. An unknown suspect took a computer server from the shipping and receiving dock of a business.

    Grand Theft--Oct. 12, 1:45 p.m., 1300 block of Crossman. An unknown suspect took a laptop computer from a business worth approximately $3,000.

    Burglary (Residential)--Oct. 12, 2 p.m., 1200 block of Sycamore Terrace. Suspect took two shotguns, two rifles, some gold coins, musical instruments and other items from residence.
