Beall will host transit forum
Sunnyvalians are invited to bus, bike--or even drive--over to Santa Clara next Monday, Nov. 15, to participate in a public workshop on the future of valley-wide transportation.
County Supe Jim Beall, who moonlights as the chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, will host the forum, which will evaluate the MTC's "Bay Area Transportation Blueprint for the 21st Century." The document-in-progress features the three Ps of transportation planning--policies, projects, and priorities--as well as a fourth: proposals, such as rail extensions, rapid water transit, express bus services, and carpool lanes. The forum begins at 7pm in the Santa Clara City Council chambers, 1500 Warburton Avenue.
