Hula dancers perform for SCS

Kaui Isa-Kahaku's Island Moves will hold a hula-thon to benefit Sunnyvale Community Services Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. The event takes place at the Island Moves School, located at 541 S. Murphy Ave. Students will perform traditional and contemporary Hawaiian hulas. Each student will collect donations for the number of dances performed. Organizers also hope to collect grocery bags and sample-sized toiletries to benefit SCS.

Island Moves is a new school of Polynesian song, dance, art and culture. Classes are taught to men, women and children.

Rotary and Lions host crab feed

The Sunnyvale Sunrise Rotary Club and Cupertino's De Anza Lions Club will hold their second annual all-you-can-eat Christmas Charity Crab Feed Dec. 13 at the Santa Clara Valley Blind Center, 101 N. Bascom Ave., San Jose. Tickets can be purchased from club members for $25.

Raise your voice at chorale tryout

The Valley Chorale is auditioning singers for baritone and bass sections. There is also an opening for a singer/pianist for accompanist duties in rehearsal and concert. The chorale is looking for blending voices with choral experience. Music, including classics, pops and musical theater, will soon go into production for the spring season.

The chorale rehearses Mondays at 7:30 p.m., in Raynor Auditorium, 1515 Partridge Ave. Sunnyvale. For more information call 732-2588.
