The King's Academy boys' soccer team lost to Fremont Christian 2-0 in the Central Coast Section Division III tournament. The loss left the Knights with a 9-6-1 season record. Fremont Christian went on to tie Valley Christian of Dublin in the CCS title game, and the two ended up co-champions.

Walters leads Dons

Jodie Walters knocked in a goal and dished off an assist to lead the De Anza Community College women's soccer team to a rousing 3-0 win over Cañada in Coast Conference play last week.

Walters, a sophomore and a graduate of Fremont High, scored unassisted, then assisted Michelle Kandah on another goal.

The Dons came back with a 3-0 win over Chabot later in the week to run their conference record to 15-1-1 and their season mark to 17-1-1.

The De Anza men's soccer team backed up a 5-1 win over Mission with a 5-0 shutout win over Cañada to push its Coast Conference record to 17-1-1.
