    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    False Registration Tab--Oct. 23, 10:40 a.m., 1300 block Franchere Place. Suspect produced a fraudulent registration tab and placed it on the rear license plate of his vehicle. Suspect did this to avoid being detained by police.

    Possession of Deadly Weapon--Oct. 22, 9:46 p.m., 500 block E. Ahwanee Avenue. Officer responded to report of eight to nine subjects carrying chains and long pieces of wood. Upon arrival, the suspects were gone. A check of Columbia Park revealed five subjects walking on the west side of the park. Officer identified himself as a Sunnyvale Police Officer and suspects ran. Suspects were apprehended. Reporting party identified suspects he'd observed carrying weapons. Suspects were arrested and three were transported to county Jail.

    Auto Burglary--Oct. 20, 12:17 p.m., 100 block E. El Camino Real. Victim left her parked vehicle in parking lot. Victim returned and found the vehicle's right window smashed. Two gym bags containing $945 worth of items were missing.
