Armed Robbery--Armed with shotguns, two men robbed the Alliance Federal Credit Union at 542 N. Lawrence Expressway Nov. 12 and fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a third suspect. No one was injured, nor were any shots fired in the 6:50 p.m. incident. The three men, wearing dark clothes and dark ski masks, made their getaway in a blue vehicle, which police said was found empty not far from where robbery occurred. The amount of money taken was not immediately known.
Death Threat--A 39-year-old man was arrested on Robbea St. at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 for making death threats. The man was jailed.
Assault--A 47-year-old Sunny-vale man was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Nov. 12 for assaulting a public safety officer, whose condition was unknown. Bail for the suspect was set at $650.
Child Cruelty--A 36-year-old Pleasant Hill man was arrested on Arques Street at 10 a.m. Nov. 12 for child cruelty. The man also was arrested on drunken-driving charges. Bail was set at $20,000.
Spousal Abuse, Battery--Police arrested a 39-year-old Sunnyvale man at 11:40 p.m. Nov. 11 on Birch Street for spousal abuse and battery. A judge will set bail.
Spousal Abuse--A 70-year-old Sunnyvale man was arrested on Nov. 11 on charges of spousal abuse, brandishing a weapon and terroristic threatening. The man has been confined. A magistrate judge will set bail.
Urinating in Public--A 29-year-old Alviso man was arrested on Morse St. at 12:36 a.m. Nov. 14 for urinating in public. The man, who was released, was scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on Jan. 7.
Petty Theft--A 27-year-old San Francisco man was arrested on Kern Drive around 8 p.m. on Nov. 13 for petty theft. He was released, but is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on Jan. 7.
