    City rezones site on S. Wolfe Road

    The Sunnyvale City Council unanimously agreed to rezone a 39,088-square-foot site located at 775 S. Wolfe Road, currently in a medium-density residential zoning district, to a medium-density residential/planned development zoning district, during the council meeting Nov. 13. The council also granted a special development permit to the developer to allow construction of a 20-unit apartment complex on the site.

    Council sets time, day of meetings

    The Sunnyvale City Council decided unanimously to hold city council meetings at least two Tuesdays every month, thereby rescinding Resolution #975. The motion does not limit the meetings to only two Tuesdays a month.

    Cermony for tree-lighting is set

    The second annual tree lighting ceremony will be held Nov. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. on Murphy Avenue. The public is invited to witness Santa's arrival.

    School district seeks skilled help

    The Sunnyvale Elementary School District Education Foundation Board is looking for volunteers with web master expertise. Volunteers will help to update the web page that is necessary to raise funds for the 10 elementary and middle schools in the district.
