Police Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Petty theft--Nov. 12, 12:30 p.m. 100 block of Kern Avenue. A man entered a store and removed several items from the shelf. He took the items out of their packages and placed them under his coat. He then left the store without paying. He was placed under arrest by security officers.
Auto burglary--Nov. 12, 1 p.m. 900 block of Hendersen Avenue. A man returned to his car to find that the passenger door had been opened and the window broken. The stereo and several CDs had been stolen.
Petty theft--Nov. 13, 2:45 p.m. 100 block of Lawrence Expressway. A woman walked into a department store and removed several items from the shelf. She then placed the items into her bag. She proceeded to shop, placing items of lesser value into her cart. She paid for the items in the cart and left the store. She was placed under arrest by security officers.
Auto burglary--Nov. 14, 7:15 p.m. 300 block of N. Wolfe Road. A man returned to his car to find the passenger door handle broken off. The stereo and several CDs were taken. The dash was also damaged when the stereo was removed.
Driving under the influence--Nov. 14 1:15 a.m. 1100 block of Ayala Drive. A man was arrested for driving under the influence. He was taken to the main jail. The man was pulled over for speeding when the officer noticed his speech was slurred.
