    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Reckless Driving--Nov. 11, 4:56 p.m., 300 block of S. Sunnyvale Avenue. The suspect was observed driving recklessly in the multilevel parking garage at Town Center Mall. The suspect was speeding and spinning his tires causing smoke and tire marks to be left on the lot. The manner in which the suspect was driving was unsafe. Suspect was cited and released at the scene.

    Possession of Marijuana--Nov. 11, 10:14 p.m., North Mathilda Avenue. At a fast-food restaurant, a driver was found to possess more than 1 ounce of marijuana while he was driving. The officer issued a citation and released the driver from the scene. His vehicle was towed.

    Minor Inside Bar--Nov. 11, 1:02 a.m., 100 block of S. Murphy Avenue. Upon conducting a security check inside a local bar, a younger looking female was standing at the upstairs bar. The officer asked her for her ID. She claimed she did not have any. She was taken inside the office and her identity was confirmed as being less than 21 years of age. She claimed she walked through the front door in a crowd and was not stopped to have her ID checked. She was cited and released and the club manager was contacted. He was also cited.

    Commercial Burglary--Nov. 11, 4 p.m., 1000 block of Steward Drive. Ssuspect smashed a rear window of an inventory storage area and stole approximately $416,815 worth of computer chips and exited the building.
