Brown-Risch
Dr. and Mrs. Steven DeStefano of Alta Loma announce the engagement of Steven's sister, Yolanda Brown, to Sunnyvale City Councilman Tim Risch, son of Winifred Risch of Torrance, Calif. Brown is vice chairwoman of the Sunnyvale Planning Commission.
The bride-to-be represents Sunnyvale on the Santa Clara Housing Commission, serves on the board of directors of the Sunnyvale School District Education Foundation and Leadership Sunnyvale Alumni Association. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Sunnyvale and was also chairwoman of the Census 2000 committee for Sunnyvale.
The groom-to-be is a 17-year resident of Sunnyvale and also serves on the Valley Transportation Authority policy advisory committee and the board of directors for the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority.
Brown works for Cooley Godward in Palo Alto and Risch is a senior project manager with Therma-Wave Corporation in Fremont. They plan a 2002 wedding.
