    City is conducting resident survey

The city of Sunnyvale will conduct a citizen opinion and satisfaction survey during late November and early December to obtain feedback from residents that will help guide city government. Households will be randomly selected to participate in the survey, which will be administered in English and Spanish.

City staff is working to prepare a comprehensive questionnaire that will provide a snapshot of community opinion on a variety of issues. The data will be used by the Sunnyvale City Council and Sunnyvale staff, for service planning and policy making.

"Citizen feedback is critical to helping the city address emerging issues and deliver high quality services," said Amy Chan, the assistant city manager. "We strongly encourage residents who receive a survey to participate."

Residents who receive a survey will be asked to respond by calling an 800 number. Questions will reflect a variety of topics relevant to quality of life in Sunnyvale, such as traffic, housing and public safety. Participants will remain anonymous, and the results will be shared with the community.
