The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.
Shoplifting--Dec. 3, 12:30 p.m. A 45-year-old male and an accomplice were arrested for stealing $532.80 worth of merchandise from the Fry's Electronics in the 1000 block of E. Arques. The pair were able to steal a phone and two music CDs on Dec. 2 without being apprehended. The pair returned the following day, attempting to steal more merchandise, but were arrested.
Possession--Dec. 2, 1:10 a.m. A 33-year-old female was arrested at the corners of Mathilda and Ahwahnee avenues for being under the influence and in possession of heroin.
Fictitious Check--Dec. 1, 2:48 p.m. An 18-year-old woman was arrested for attempting to pass a fake check at the Bank of America in the 400 block of Mathilda avenue. The teller called police and said the suspect was acting suspicious. Officers later learned the suspect had deposited a bogus check in the amount of $4,326.47 the previous week. The check was allegedly written by the City of Dublin.
DUI--Dec. 3, 3:30 a.m. A 38-year-old male was arrested at the corners of Mathilda and California avenues for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Assault--Nov. 29, 9:35 a.m. A 31-year-old man was arrested in the 100 block of S. Sunnyvale Ave for burglary, assault and vandalism.
Burglary--Nov. 30, 11:30 p.m. A car parked in the 300 block of W. Java avenue was broken into and looted for $1,050 worth of damage and stolen goods. Thieves made off with a car stereo, CDs, a leather jacket and a tool kit.
