    Pony Baseball

    The Sunnyvale-Cupertino Pony Baseball organization is now holding registration for the 2001 season for players ages 13-18. Players ages 13-14 play in the Pony division with those 15-16 playing Colt league baseball and those 17-18 playing in the Palomino division.

    Basketball camp

    The Steve Barnes Winter Basketball Camp will be held Dec. 27-29, 8 a.m.-noon each day, at San Jose State University. The camp is open to boys ages 7-13 and the registration fee is $75. Call 408.924.1245.

    Soccer camps

    Veteran soccer coach Dave Gold will host a winter soccer camp for players ages 5-16 on Dec. 18-22 at Leigh High School. The cost for the camp is $215 per player. Call 408.997.7775.

    Baseball camps

    Holiday baseball and softball camps for Little League through high school age players are currently being offered by Hardkte World of Baseball. The indoor clinics feature instruction for two days, two hours a day, and the cost is $90 per camp. Call 408.866.8050 or check the Web site at www.hwob.com.

    Alumni soccer

    Stanford clinics

    The annual Stanford Holiday Baseball Clinics return to The Farm this year with sessions scheduled during Christmas vacation. Pitching clinics and baseball instruction for players ages 12-18 will be conducted Dec. 18-20 and 27-29 at Stanford. The cost is $115 per session. For more information, call 650.723.4528.

    Adult sports

    The registration deadline is Dec. 13 for teams interested in playing adult basketball or volleyball in the city of Sunnyvale. The fees are $560 for the 10-game basketball season and $250 for the eight-match volleyball season. The fees include playoffs in each sport, and there is a $10 fee for each non-resident on a team.
