Southern signups
The Sunnyvale Southern Little League in District 44 has announced early registration for the 2000 spring season. Players must live within league boundaries and must present a birth certificate and proof of residence to enroll.
Baseball and softball signups to age 16, Saturdays, Jan. 8, noon-3 p.m., and 15 through 29, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at DeAnza Park Rec Building, off Ticonderoga, just west of Mary Avenue in Sunnyvale, and Wednesday, Jan. 12, 6-8 p.m. Round Table Pizza, Cherry Chase Shopping Center, 665 S. Officials needed
The Northwest YMCA of Cupertino is looking for officials for the upcoming winter basketball league season. Officials will be paid $6-7 per hour, depending upon experience. The YMCA offers extensive training, so no experience is necessary.
League play runs Jan. 8-March 4, and officials must commit to the entire season. Games are played on Saturdays, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Pony Baseball
The Sunnyvale-Cupertino Pony Baseball program is accepting registration for players ages 7-18. The league also needs adult volunteers to become board members. For more information, call 408.245.7669.
