The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Auto burglary--Dec. 9, 9:40 a.m. A man parked his car in a lot on Kifer Road and returned 10 minutes later to discover that one of the windows had been pried open. His briefcase was gone from the front seat; a cellular phone, checkbook and camera lens were also missing. No fingerprints were taken because the man did not report the crime until that evening. There are no suspects .

Bank robbery--Dec. 6, 2:30 p.m. A man entered a savings and loan on Hollenbeck Road and gave a demand note to a teller. He took an undetermined amount of cash and got away on foot. The suspect is a white man in his mid-30s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and about 160 pounds. He has medium-length brown hair and was wearing a golf-style cap, gray clothes and tennis shoes.

Traffic collision--Dec. 9, 6:18 p.m. A 27-year-old man was walking across Wolfe Road near Maude Avenue when he was hit by a car traveling on Wolfe. He was taken to Valley Medical Center for treatment. The case is still under investigation.

Shoplifting--Dec. 5, 6:14 p.m. A shoplifter was cited and released from a Sunnyvale Avenue store after a store security officer saw a man leave without paying for merchandise. He placed the man under citizen's arrest until Sunnyvale police officers responded.
