Drug use, petty theft--Dec. 9 at El Camino Real and Wolfe Road. A 41-year-old Sunnyvale man was cited and arrested.
Theft--Dec. 9 on Sunnyvale Road. A woman was arrested for shoplifting. The item she took cost less than $400.
Drug use--Dec. 12 on Elsona Court. An 18-year-old Homestead High School student was cited for possession of marijuana.
Collision--Dec. 12 on El Camino Real and Fair Oaks. Two men and one woman from San Jose were injured in a three-car accident. They were headed west in separate cars on wet roads when the morning accident occurred.
Armed robbery--A manager was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money during an armed robbery at a Lyon's Restaurant in Sunnyvale Dec. 10. Police are searching for the suspect, who fled the scene after the incident. The man entered the restaurant at 415 E. El Camino Real at 1:25 a.m. and walked up to the manager, who stood beside a cash register. The suspect lifted a white-hooded sweatshirt he was wearing and revealed what appeared to be a handgun. The man held out bag and told the manager to fill it with money. The man took the manager to the men's room and then fled. Police said the suspect has a dark complexion, is between 25 and 30 years old, is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 130 to 150 pounds.
