District 44 Signups
Signups will be held in January for youngsters interested in participating in the programs offered by the District 44 Little League in this area.

Sunnyvale Metro Little League-- Signups will be held Jan. 4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and Jan. 16, 6-9 p.m., at Ponderosa Park Recreation Building, 811 Henderson Ave.; Jan. 7, 6-9 p.m., and Jan. 11, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Raynor Park Recreation Building, 1565 Quail Ave.; and Jan. 14, 6-9 p.m., and Jan. 18, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Ortega Park Recreation Building, 656 Harrow Way. Sunnyvale National Little League-- Signups for players ages 5-18 will be held Jan. 8, 15 and 22, 6-8 p.m. each day, at Washington Park, and Jan. 11 and 18, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at Fairoaks Rec Center. For more information, call Robert Rodrigues, 732-5021.
Sunnyvale Serra Little League-- Signups for players ages 5-18 will be held Jan. 4, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Jan. 5, noon-4 p.m., and Jan. 8, 6-9 p.m., at Serra Park Rec Building, 730 The Dalles. For more information, call Russ Philpott, 730-5774.
Sunnyvale Southern Little League-- Signups will be held each Saturday, Jan. 4-25, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Jan. 8 and 14, 7-9 p.m., at Las Palmas Park Rec Building, 858 Russett Drive. For more information, call Walter and Sheri Lee, 739-6065.
Baseball Camps
B & B Baseball Camps will present camps for youngsters ages 8-12 and 13-18 on Jan. 11-12 in Los Gatos. Camp hours are 8:30 a.m.-noon for the younger players and 1-4:30 p.m. for the older players.

Teen holiday tourney
Signups are now being accepted for the Christmas Classic, a teen holiday basketball tournament co-hosted by Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation and the Northwest YMCA of Cupertino.
The tournament will feature divisions for players ages 13-14, 15-16, and 17-19. The fee is $22 per player, and there will be prizes and awards presented.
