The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety
Auto burglary with force--Dec. 16, between 6:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. Suspects forced their way into a parked car at 1150 W. Evelyn. Breaking through the passenger side window, the thieves stole the victim's stereo, eight CD's and an electric razor. No fingerprints could be collected from the car.
Resisting arrest--Dec. 17, 2:30 a.m. A man was arrested and taken to jail after being stopped for allegedly driving under the influence. However, the man was also charged with being an unlicensed driver, evading arrest, threatening the officer, battery of a police officer and resisting arrest.
Petty theft--Dec. 13, A man was cited and released from custody for attempting to steal about $40 worth of merchandise from a Kern Avenue store. The man was seen taking the goods past many cash registers and walked outside, where he was caught by store clerks and brought back inside the store.
Petty theft--Dec. 12. A woman was cited and released after trying to steal three dresses and two shirts from a clothing store on the 100 block of E. El Camino Real.
