The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.
Fire-- Dec. 28, 8:43 p.m. 900 Azure Place -- More than 25 public safety officers responded to a blaze at an apartment complex that caused an estimated $200,000 in damage. No injuries were reported. Two units on the top of the two story structure were damaged. The cause of fire is still under investigation.
Theft -- Dec. 27, 7:20 p.m. 900 E. Duane -- A 21 year-old male was arrested after he stole a butcher knife from the Pizza Depot and fled from the store. He jumped a nearby wooden fence and ran through the yards of neighboring residences. Officers apprehended the suspect after he climbed on a home's roof.
Theft -- Dec. 26, 3:10 p.m. 1077 E. Arques Way -- Two male suspects, ages 27 and 22, were arrested for attempting to steal $321 worth of computer video games from Fry's Electronics.
Assault -- Dec. 25, 8:20 p.m. 1200 Tasman -- A 24-year-old woman was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Statutory Rape -- Dec. 23, 3 p.m. 800 W. Ahwahnee -- A 38-year-old male was arrested for statutory rape, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance
