More charges Þled against former coach

More charges were filed Monday against former Homestead High School football coach Jeff Lamson.

Lamson had been charged with one felony count of penetration with a foreign object. He now faces 10 counts. Previously, Lamson faced one felony count of oral copulation, whereas now he faces two. The incidents are alleged to have occurred during the 1990-91 school year.

Also added to Lamson's charges is a misdemeanor alleging that he attempted to dissuade a witness from testifying.

Lamson pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The new felony charges stem from a preliminary hearing two weeks before, when sheriff's detective Karen Burgess testified that Lamson had sexual contact with one of the students more than once. Each additional count was added for the number of times the two allegedly had sexual contact.
