Tennis finals

The Saratoga 12 and 10 Junior Open Grand Prix tennis tournament will wind down to the finals on June 28, with championship matches slated at the Saratoga Country Club.

Semifinal rounds are scheduled for June 27 and 28, with championship matches set for Friday at 12:30 p.m. in boys and girls 10 singles and at 2 p.m. in boys and girls 12 singles.

In girls 12 competition, local players include Elizabeth Tackett and Jennifer Kung of Sunnvale.

Local players in boys 10 singles play include Jeffery Ku and Kyle Sum of Cupertino and Michael Kung and Anthony Brewer of Sunnyvale.

In boys 12 action, local stars include Eric Sum, Jason Ku and Timur Kazimirov of Cupertino, and Eugene Muchynski of Sunnyvale.


All-sports camp

Santa Clara University will host its Summer All-Sports Camp for children with a "sincere interest in sports and outdoor recreation."

Camps will begin July 14 and Aug. 11 for resident campers and July 15 and Aug. 12 for day campers.

Sports offered will include baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and more. Contact Antonio Veloso at aveloso@scu.edu.


Golf tourney

The third annual Alfred Hitchcock Golf Tournament, benefiting cystic fibrosis research, will be held July 15, 1:30 p.m., at the Seascape Golf Club in Aptos.

The four-person scramble tourney will be scored on the Calloway System, and as a special feature a professional golfer will be available on the 10th hole to hit each group's tee shot. There will be a 2002 Mercedes on the line as a hole-in-one prize.

Following the tournament there will be an awards dinner, along with silent and live auctions. Each table at the dinner will feature a different theme from a classic Hitchcock movie.
