Grand theft - Sept. 25, 7:47 p.m., 1000 block of Lochinvar Avenue. An unknown suspect removed clothing worth $600 from a residence without the victim's permission and took the clothing to the Goodwill store located in Santa Clara. The victim went to the store to claim her clothing but did not locate any of it. The suspect also took a Compaq Presario laptop computer, worth $1,000.
Commercial burglary - Sept. 25, 3:40 p.m., 500 block of E. El Camino Real. A Sunnyvale public safety officer responded to a report of a commercial burglary at a grocery store. Upon arrival, the reporting party said that a female suspect, with two males waiting in a vehicle outside the store, exited the store with numerous items that were not paid for. The cost of the items was $91.
Loitering - Sept. 25, 7:45 a.m., 600 block of W. El Camino Real. A Sunnyvale public safety officer observed an unknown suspect loitering inside a building. Upon contact the suspect would not identify himself and had no apparent reason for being on the premises.
Under the influence - Sept. 25, intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Kiefer Road. A Sunnyvale Public Safety Officer observed a suspect riding his bike without lights or a bike license. Upon contact, the officer observed that the suspect had dilated pupils. The officer conducted under-the-influence tests. The officer determined that the suspect was under the influence of a stimulant and placed him under arrest.
Residential burglary - Sept. 24, 1:42 p.m., 800 block of S. Mary Avenue. The unknown suspect forced entry into a residence. Once inside, the suspect ransacked the residence, removing one black pearl necklace, worth $6,000, one 18-karat gold band with jade, worth $500, Taiwan currency in the amount of $200, and a Rolex watch, worth $2,500.
