Possession of controlled substance—Oct. 23, 12:26 a.m., intersection of San Rafael Avenue and Barston Court. A Sunnyvale police officer stopped a motor vehicle for a code violation. Both the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of controlled substances and were arrested without incident.
Vehicle vandalism—
Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m., 500 block of Fremont Avenue. Between 5 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 21, unknown persons jumped over a secured rear parking lot fence and vandalized 11 postal vehicles. The persons used an unknown type of instrument to damage the rear plastic mirror covers of the vehicles. Damages are estimated at $550.
Residential burglary—Oct. 20, 2:24 p.m., 1000 block of Tasman Drive. Unknown persons gained entry to a trailer and took one Motorola cell phone, worth $199, one Citibank Master Card, jewelry and computer equipment.
Under the influence of a controlled substance—Oct. 20, 5:09 a.m., intersection of Wolfe Road and Fremont Avenue. A Sunnyvale public safety officer responded to a report of a suspicious person. Upon contact the officer noticed that the person had dilated pupils and his speech was fast. The officer conducted tests that showed the person was under the influence of a controlled substance.
