Auto burglary—Nov. 3, 7:38 p.m., 400 block of Brahms Way. The victim discovered that his pickup truck had been burglarized in his apartment parking lot. The driver's side door was ajar. Iitems stolen were: one backpack, worth $50; one Compaq pocket PC with a black leather case, worth $500; clothing, worth $300; and 20 CDs and a CD case, worth $200 in all.
Auto burglary—Nov. 3, 7:14 p.m., 900 block of W. El Camino Real. The victim locked and secured his vehicle and went inside a restaurant to eat. He returned at approximately 7:10 p.m. and discovered that the rear and front passenger side windows were smashed and the rear tires flattened. Three suitcases containing approximately $40,000 worth of jewelry—silver rings, necklaces and pendants—were discovered missing. In order to gather information, a Sunnyvale public safety officer contacted the occupants of the three businesses in the complex where the car was parked.
Under the influence—Nov. 3, 8:40 a.m., intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Cypress Avenue. A public safety officer suspected a man was under the influence and conducted a drug test. The person was found to be under the influence of C/S, a stimulant, and was arrested.
Auto burglary—Nov. 2, 2:04 p.m., 900 block of E. Caribbean Drive. Between 7:30 a.m. and 1:21 p.m., an unknown person forced entry into the victim's vehicle and stole property. One of the items, a black backpack, was found later at the 300 block of Karl Road.
Auto burglary—Nov. 2, 12:43 p.m., 300 block of Karl Road. Between 11:30 a.m. and 12:40 p.m., an unknown person forced entry into the victim's vehicle by smashing a window. Stolen were a backpack, worth $70, items of clothing and miscellaneous medications.
Vandalism—Nov. 2, 9:29 a.m., 1100 block of Fairwood Drive. Unknown persons used black markers to deface the picnic tables at a park.
