Residential burglary—Nov. 9, 10:35 a.m., 1100 block of W. Olive Avenue. Unknown persons entered the laundry room of an apartment complex and completely removed the top of one of the dryers. They attempted to pry open the other dryer without success. They took the top of the first dryer, which contained the coin mechanism and coin container.
Auto burglary—Nov. 9, 10:17 a.m., 100 block of Elm Court. Between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., unknown persons broke into the victim's vehicle and removed the dashboard stereo, worth $200, and 10 CDs, worth $150.
Possession of controlled substance—Nov. 9, 1:44 a.m., intersection of San Rafael Drive and Duane Avenue. A Sunnyvale public safety officer stopped a driver after noticing that his license plate lamp was out. Upon contact the officer noticed that the driver's pupils were dilated and that he displayed other symptoms of being under the influence. Standing beside the vehicle's driver's side door, the officer saw two syringes in the console. After conducting a search, a crack pipe was found in the person's pocket. In the vehicle were four crack rocks, another pipe and other drug paraphernalia. The driver was booked and sent to county jail.
Auto burglary—Nov. 8, 10:30 p.m., 600 block of Grand Coulee Drive. A Sunnyvale public safety officer responded to a report that a Sony AM/FM/CD radio, worth $370, had been stolen from a vehicle.
Residential burglary—Nov. 8, 10:25 p.m., 900 block of Henderson Avenue. The victim reported two shoeprints on his kitchen floor and dirt and debris on the carpet near the front door. No items appeared to be missing, and there were no signs of forced entry.
Residential burglary—Nov. 7, 11:55 a.m., 900 block of Colusa Avenue. An unknown person entered a secured residence by breaking the rear kitchen window. Once inside the person took $3,000 in U.S. currency, three Sony PlayStation games, worth $90, one gold bracelet with diamonds and jade, worth $500, and four gold necklaces, worth $1,000.
