Brandishing firearm—Nov. 17, 11:49 a.m., intersection of Wolfe Road and El Camino Real. A person brandished a firearm at the victim while driving on Wolfe Road south of El Camino Real. The person had been following the victim very closely. The victim applied his brakes to slow down and then pulled over to the another lane. The person following him drove up beside the victim and pointed his firearm at the victim. The person was cited and released, and the weapon was confiscated.
Auto burglary—Nov. 15, 6 a.m., 700 block of San Juan Drive. An unknown person stole an in-dash stereo, worth $180, and a black CD holder, worth $20. Nothing else was taken from the vehicle although there was $300 worth of damage to the vehicle.
Auto burglary—Nov. 14, 5:10 p.m., 1100 block of W. Fremont Avenue. The victim was advised by a security officer that an unknown person had gained entry to her secured vehicle and stolen a black purse that contained a brown leather wallet, $150 in cash, miscellaneous credit cards and her California driver's license.
Drug possession—Nov. 14, 2 p.m., intersection of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road and Remington Drive. A Sunnyvale public safety officer stopped a person for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk. During a pat search the officer found an object in the person's pocket. The person consented to the officer taking the object out of his pocket. The officer found three baggies containing a white, powdery substance. The officer placed the person under arrest. The substance tested presumptive positive for amphetamine. The fact that the narcotics were packaged in separate baggies, that there were two different types of methamphetamine found, and that there was a large quantity found in the subject's possession indicated to police that the drugs were intended to be sold.
Petty theft—Nov. 14, 11:30 a.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. An unknown person was observed exiting a store with concealed merchandise belonging to the store. The person exited the store without paying for the items. Once outside the store, the person was detained and arrested for shoplifting by store security. The person was cited and released.
