Dance, music show at library Dec. 15
The San Francisco Red Jade Collective has intrigued and engaged audiences worldwide with its experimental, multidisciplinary performances. Elements of jazz, West African, Cuban, Brazilian, American Indian, Japanese and Filipino music traditions are fused with American modern dance and improvisation.
At 1 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the program room in the Sunnyvale Public Library, the group will perform excerpts from their new composition, "Crossing Currents," which blends world dance and music traditions and techniques.

KIDZ on Tour will stop in Sunnyvale
KIDZ on Tour, a nonprofit performing youth group that tours the Bay Area, will soon perform for Sunnyvale audiences.
This Christmas, KIDZ on Tour will present Santa's Frosty Follies, an energetic, 25-minute medley of Christmas songs such as "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."
Sunnyvale resident Larisa Mar is one of the eight performers.
The group will perform at Ortega Park, 600 Inverness Way in Sunnyvale on Dec. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m.

Local parent group to host educational seminar Dec. 15
The Asian American Parent Association is holding a seminar on the Vision New America summer internship program, which recruits, trains and places students in government offices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento and Washington, D.C. The seminar will take place Dec. 15, 24 p.m., at the Union Church of Cupertino, 20900 Stevens Creek Blvd.
