Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Domestic Violence—March 15, 2:05 p.m., 600 block of San Juan Drive. Public safety officers responded to a residence after a 911 hang-up. The officers determined a disturbance had occurred. The victim had been arguing with someone and during the argument the victim tried to call the police. The other person hung up the phone and the victim tried again.

Vandalism—March 13, 4 p.m., 700 block of Morse Avenue. A school bus driver was parked in the parking lot of a school, waiting for students. The driver heard tapping noises from the back of the bus and later discovered one of the passenger-side windows had been damaged. The damage was consistent with the window having been shot three times by a pellet gun.

Petty Theft—March 13, 1:50 p.m., 100 block of Lawrence Station Road. A man entered a store and removed items from a box of merchandise. He placed the items in his pockets and exited the store without paying for them. The man was placed under citizen's arrest and eventually cited by public safety officers.

Fighting in public—March 11, 6:09 p.m., 1100 Lime Drive. Two people had a verbal altercation that escalated into a fight. They shoved and wrestled with each other. The first person shoved the second person, who subsequently banged his head against his truck, which resulted in a swelling on his head.

Burglary—March 12, 11:30 a.m., 300 block of S. Mary Avenue. An unknown person broke into the storage shed behind a church and took two routers worth a total of $300.

Vandalism—March 11, 6 p.m., 500 block of E. Washington Avenue. An unknown person scratched the doors and hood of a woman's car.

Fraud—March 11, 2:43 p.m., 800 block of E. El Camino Real. Two people went to a check-cashing store and attempted to cash a fraudulent check under another person's name. One person was arrested, and the second person fled the scene.

Grand theft—March 11, 11:30 a.m., 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue. An unknown person stole $2,400 in cash from a residence.

Vandalism—March 10, 1 p.m., 800 block of W. Washington Avenue. An unknown person used a felt pen to write on two wood picnic tables at a park.

Auto burglary—March 10, 5 a.m., 100 block of Locksunart Way. An unknown person forced entry into a vehicle and removed a car stereo from the dashboard area of the vehicle.
