Seniors, disabled get help with tasks
Local Realtors and their affiliates have organized RSVP, a one-week program to assist elderly or disabled homeowners living in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties with household tasks such as changing furnace filters, replacing smoke detector batteries, washing windows and cleaning gutters.
Small teams of volunteers will be going out to homes the week of June 9. The deadline for application is May 30.

District offers ESL, citizenship class
The Fremont Union High School District Sunnyvale-Cupertino Adult Education Department is offering an ESL/citizenship preparation class, which will take place from June 23 to July 30.
Students can learn about American history and government and take written practice tests.
Those interested can register in class on June 23. Class is scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. in Room L-106 at Homestead High School.

Taiwanese troupe performs at library
Kun Shin Dancers, a Bay Areabased Taiwanese dance troupe, will present dances based on native Taiwanese traditions.
The tribal dances will center around family celebrations such as marriage and welcoming in a new year.
The event will take place on June 7 at 3p.m. in the Sunnyvale Library Program Room at 665 W. Olive Ave.
