Santa Clara University will host a series of summer soccer camps for players ages 6­18 this summer.

Camp dates include: June 16­20, day camp for players ages 6­16; July 21­25, residential camp for players ages 9­13; July 28­Aug. 1, residential camp for players ages 14­18; and Aug. 5­8, elite residential camp for players entering their junior and senior years of high school.

Basketball camp

The annual West Valley Basketball Camp returns to the college's Saratoga campus this summer with three sessions for boys entering the third through ninth grades.

The camps focus on the fundamentals of shooting, passing, ball handling, footwork and much more. West Valley coach Danny Yoshikawa is camp director and Scott Peters in camp coordinator.

The sessions include: boys in the fifth through seventh grades—June 16­20, 9 a.m.­3 p.m. each day, cost $325; boys in the seventh through ninth grades—June 23­27, 9 a.m.­3 p.m. each day, cost $325; and boys in the third through fifth grades—June 30­July 3, 9 a.m.­3 p.m. each day, cost $260.

Soccer camp

De Anza College men's soccer coach Kulwant Singh will host a summer soccer camp June 23­27 at De Anza for players ages 5­15. The cost is $100 for the regular camp or $120 for the advanced camp. Camp hours are 9 a.m.­noon. For more information, call 408.864.8745 or email singhkulwant@deanza.edu.
