Miller apology Robert Nolan Heritage redwoods
A glimpse of discord among the Sunnyvale City Council members came to light when Mayor Julia Miller apologized to the public at a city council meeting about possibly having acted inappropriately in the council's closed June 10th meeting.  More Robert Nolan, director of the Institute of Computer Technology in Sunnyvale, has been selected to be director of a new statewide high school initiative to help students who are not succeeding in the public high school system.  More Twenty-seven years ago, before the Town Center Mall was built, Fern Ohrt, then 81, pleaded with the city to protect a cluster of seven historical redwood trees that stood on the mall site.  More
