Auto burglary—July 27, 6 p.m., 400 block of S. Mary Avenue. An unknown person smashed the driver's side window of a vehicle and removed a car stereo. The stolen item is valued at $150.
Petty theft—July 27, 5 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. A man entered a store, opened a video game package, stuffed the game in his pants and exited the store. After being apprehended, the man told a public safety officer that he had decided to steal the video game for his nephew.
Domestic violence—July 26, 1:30 p.m., 600 block of E. Weddell Drive. A public safety officer responded to a report of a fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Upon arrival the officer contacted the woman and determined that an argument had occurred between the woman and her boyfriend. No other information is available.
Assault with a deadly weapon—July 26, 3:40 a.m., 1600 block of Lachine Drive. A man and his girlfriend were arguing in his car. The girlfriend's father tried to convince his daughter to get out of the car. The man sitting in the car got outside and struck the father on his head and face five to six times with a flashlight.
Auto burglary—July 25, 5 p.m., 600 block of Macara Avenue. An unknown person broke a rear passenger window of a locked vehicle and stole a laptop computer. The stolen property is valued at $500.
