The Sunnyvale Rotary and Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for the city's 2003 golf tournament, and everyone is welcome, including those who don't know a golf club from a putting green.
The second annual event is taking place Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Sunnyvale Municipal Golf Course, located at 605 Macara Ave.
Check-in for golfers begins at noon, with a dinner and raffle concluding the event at 7 p.m. The proceeds will be split three ways, with the Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and Sunnyvale Community Services taking equal shares. Each organization is planning donations to various charitable groups in the area.
Sponsors such as State Farm Agents of Sunnyvale and Enterprise Rent-a-Car are contributing, and spaces for additional sponsors, golfers and the gallery/dinner are still available.
The range of sponsorships for companies runs from $25 to $3,000. Golfers can enroll for $100 each, and gallery space, two raffle tickets and dinner are $25 a person.
